I’m a Ph.D. Psychologist with expertise in group dynamics and leadership, 6-time CEO, 5-time tech startup founder with multiple exits, and public speaker. I’m also the proud father of a fantastic 18-year-old kid, Grayson.

Here’s a little bit about me…

During graduate school in the mid-1990s, I started creating websites for the classes I taught to help students learn more effectively from anywhere. My students loved the sites, primarily because the information was simplified, without fluff or jargon, and made learning more accessible.

I took this idea and created AlleyDog.com, one of the most popular online resources for college psychology students worldwide.

From there, I founded one of the country's first in-home computer repair companies, joined the Blackboard team during the early startup stage, founded one of the first mobile-messaging companies in higher education, and launched several other businesses.

In 2012 I joined the transit technology company, TransLoc, before becoming CEO in 2014. I led the company from a small bootstrapped company to a venture-backed leader in mobility that Ford acquired in 2018 for $60M, just 18 months after raising the company’s first round of outside funding.

In 2021 I started Belongly, the leading membership network exclusively for mental health professionals.

Now I combine my expertise in human behavior, group dynamics, and leadership, with 20+ years of experience founding companies and leading people, to help any leader, individual, or team improve their mental fitness, maximize potential in and out of the office, and default to calm to achieve extraordinary success.
